What we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the site:

• Contact form submissions — if you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message content.
• Technical logs — our hosting provider automatically logs IP addresses, user-agent strings, and request paths for security and debugging. These are retained for up to 30 days.

Cookies

We use a small number of non-essential cookies for analytics, and only after you opt in via the banner shown on your first visit. No cookies are set until you click “Accept”. If you click “Reject”, no analytics cookies are set at any point.

The business information shown on our directory is compiled from publicly available sources including search engines, map services, and publicly published business websites. It does not include personal data about individual employees, only information that businesses have chosen to publish publicly about themselves.

Why we collect it

• Technical logs — to protect the site from abuse and diagnose issues. Legal basis: legitimate interest (site security).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate the site:

• Hosting — our site is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the UK / EU.
• Email delivery — contact form messages are sent through IONOS SMTP to reach our inbox.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) processes anonymised usage data on our behalf, but only with your consent.

These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

How long we keep it

• Contact form messages — retained in our email inbox for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your enquiry, then deleted.
• Technical logs — up to 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Object to or restrict our processing
